When Sam was locked up in that room, to free him from the demon blood, I... just stayed on the other side of the door. I talked to him, I tried to calm him, to help him focus on my voice through the hallucinations. Sometimes he couldn't even hear me. But at one point he sat on his side of the door and begged me over and over again to open that door.
I took a few hits in this fight. Tried to stop them, to interfere, to reason them, couldn't. Well I guess at the last moment I could, but... not enough.
My life broke in two halves at that moment.
